This book introduces singular perturbation techniques by showing the reader how to obtain asymptotic solutions to several important classes of problems. It concentrates principally on boundary value problems for linear and nonlinear differential equations and includes a detailed treatment of specific examples arising in chemical kinetics and optimal control.
