A continuous gas flow method for the production of nitrosyl cyanide has been devised and the potential of using nitrosyl cyanide in a pumping reaction for a monoreagent CO laser is discussed. The infrared, visible, and ultraviolet spectra have been recorded. The infrared analysis located and assigned vibrational fundamentals. The diagonal force constants were determined.
