Abstract:

The report furnishes practical guidelines for the care and maintenance of cattle, sheep, and goats under a variety of research situations. Highlighting the increasing use of ruminants as animal models in biomedical research and comparative medicine, the report provides brief histories and summarizes characteristics of the breeds.
