Data are presented and discussed on the behavior of lead telluride alloyed with indium and with lanthanum. The data include Hall coefficient, conductance, thermal emf, Hall mobility, microhardness and bending strength. The possibility is demonstrated of determining the mechanisms of behavior of the alloying impurities in lead telluride by measurement of the electrophysical and strength characteristics and Mossbauer effect parameters. Some hypotheses as to impurity behavior are presented.
