Evaluation was accomplished on engineering models of a remote control system RCS for a BRITE-2 televised display and a radiofrequency RF repeater operating at 14.87 and 15.07 GHz. Major portions of the laboratory tests were achieved during the factory acceptance tests. Testing at the National Aviation Facilities Experimental Center was directed toward establishing a system configuration appropriate for a satellite airport. The RCS operational capability utilizing a C1-conditioned voice-grade line was assured. The RF repeater was compatible with an existing microwave link which permitted experiments with mixed radar video and alphanumeric data inputs into the RF system.
