The nature of changes in the electrical activity of the muscles enables one to judge the seriousness of motor disorders and the persistence of their damage. In the mechanism of motor disturbance development one should consider, in addition to the above, the pathological afferentation. An increase in the latter increases the excitability of the motor neurons. A long-term effect by an irritant results in damage of individual motor neurons. A serious pathology of the neuromuscular apparatus consequently develops, and trophic disturbances appear.
