This study shows that a radio-frequency thermographic method which makes use of the relation of the kinetics of development of a latent image to the temperature can yield a relatively high sensitivity when using ordinary general-purpose photographic paper and film. By choosing the proper processing conditions and developer mixture, the thermal sensitivity can reach a magnitude at which the optical density of the sections of the emulsion differed by as much as 10-12.
