The propagation efficiency of pulsed relativistic electron beams of approximately 225 keV mean electron kinetic energy with currents ranging from 30 to 88 kiloamps has been studied as a function of drift tube length 5 to 300 centimeters and drift tube pressure 100 to 2000 m torr. All the data were taken with air as the transport medium and with no preionization and no externally applied magnetic fields. Simultaneous measurements were made of the diode voltage and current, the net beam currents at both the entrance and exit of the drift tube, and the total beam energy and primary beam current at the exit of the drift tube. A complete description of all the experimental apparatus is given. Modified author abstract
