The use of metal additives in condensed systems leads to the formation of solid particles of metal oxides in the combustion products. A knowledge of the granulometric composition of these particles is essential in studying the combustion mechanism of metallized condensed systems and calculating the spectral emissivity of the combustion products. The present work describes a method for sampling metal oxide particles formed during the burning of metallized condensed systems in a constant-pressure chamber. The sampling method is based on the use of a cermet filter. It provides full representation for particle dimensions in the sample.
