A system of equations describing the motion of ionic and aerosol components in the field of a corona discharge between two plane-parallel electrodes and a one-dimensional incompressible gas flow is solved on a computer. Graphs are obtained for the variation of relative charge of particles and the electric field intensity in a discharge gap and their dependence on the degree of dust content and the flow ratio. Analytical relations are obtained for particular cases, allowing calculation of the electrical field intensity and the relative charge of a particle. Expressions are obtained for volt-ampere characteristics taking account of the dust content of the flow and the excess voltage of the corona, during which a blocking of the corona current takes place.
