This book is a reference book which presents data on the vibration-absorbing properties of materials for turbine blades, aircraft, etc. It is based on investigations conducted in the Institute Problems of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the Kiev Polytechnical Institute. Part I of the book presents information on the di sipation of energy in materials basic methods for determining characteristics of energy dissipation during vibrations, and descriptions of testing devices. Part 2 provides information in the forms of tables and graphs for different types of vibrations for alloys and steels. A bibliography of 75 titles is included.
