The objective of the program is to develop an automated, non-intrusive predictive system for the evaluation of physiologic function in severely traumatized military patients. The system includes non-state-of-the-art techniques, including on-line cerebral evoked potentials, on-line EEG period analysis, on-line transcerebral impedance, and nuclear magnetic resonance NMR blood flow measurement, along with more traditional techniques such as transthoracic impedance, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, etc.
