The study of the reaction products of alkyldifluorophosphites and dialkylamido difluorophosphites with primary and secondary amines and alcohols yields the following results Methyldifluorophosphite with ethyl--and isopropylamine yielded 3-coordinate CH3O2PF an adduct of 21 with the corresponding primary amine and the hydride of 5-coordinate phosphorus, RORNHPHF2. Methyldifluorophosphite with diethylamine also yields a 5-coordinate and a 3-coordinate compound--C2H52NPF2 and CH3C2H52NPF and CH3O2PF. Dimethylamidodifluorophosphite with isobutylamine yields a hydride of 5-coordinate phosphorus CH32Niso-C4H9NHPHF2. Unstable hydrides R2N2PHF2 were formed in this reaction in the intermediate stages, just as they were in the reaction between alkyldifluorophosphine and the primary amines.
