The mechanism of muscle relaxant effect was analyzed based on literature data dealing with agents such as decamethonium, tubocurarine, succinyl choline, imbretyl, etc. It was found that all pharmacological agents blocking neuromuscular transmission of excitation can be divided into two groups single-phase relaxants tubocurarine, dimethyltubocurarine, allopherine, etc. and double-phase relaxants succinyl choline, decamethonium, and imbretyl.
