The report presents the facts and conclusions of a series of tests conducted on a sampling of commercial humidity controllers to evaluate their potential in mobile military applications. The report concludes that Functionally satisfactory humidity controls could be obtained from commercial sources for use in military applications low-cost, simple humidistats probably would be as satisfactory as more sophisticated types militarized versions of the more accurate and more sensitive types could be developed use of humidistats would introduce some new calibration and maintenance requirements for military environmental control systems some development would be necessary to acquire completely acceptable military humidistats.
