The work conducted involved three separate pieces of hardware as well as a continuing software and theoretical development. On the hardware, Sensor 1, the first temperature profiler with remote capability was calibrated, field tested and its output data analyzed. RIAPS I, a remotely operable profiler with both temperature and humidity profiling capability was designed and constructed. A minicomputer data acquisition and processing system which allows profiles to be processed in real time was designed and constructed. It will be interfaced with the RIAPS I instrument to form a stand-alone profiling system. Modified author abstract
