Experimental Reproduction of the Hypersensitivity State under the Effect of Autologous Crystalline Lens Protein,

Pagination or Media Count:
The demonstration of the anticrystalline lens antibodies in the blood sera of guinea pigs during their immunization with homoantigen confirms the fact that the crystalline lens substance is capable of eliciting the hypersensitivity of an organism to the crystalline lens protein. The experiments with the immunization by the autologous tissue and the successful demonstration of the autoantibodies attest to the fact that increased sensitivity to the crystalline lens protein can be an autoimmune process.
