An experiment concerning the effects of cold on performance of an information processing task was designed and conducted. Performance measures were obtained under temperature conditions of 72F, 45F and 35F. Performance was found to improve at the colder temperatures. An hypothesis relating arousal and cold to performance was postulated to account for the improved performance. Author
