Unsteady pressures on a thin two-dimensional airfoil pitching and plunging in transonic flow have been computed by numerically solving the governing partial differential equation. The effect of wing thickness has been retained by using the steady flow potential on the wing in the coefficients of the equation in a manner which generalizes Oswatitschs parabolic method. The results are compared with other methods and with experimental data. Author
