A method has been developed to allow the evaluation of helicopter design criteria. Analytical models have been developed which include mission analysis, performance relationships, statistical and analytical weight predictions, mission effectiveness including payload utilization data and environmental statistics, and fixed and operational cost estimations. The models are specifically designed to determine the cost effectiveness of a two- point design criterion. A computer program known as ZODIAC 2 was developed to implement these and other analytical models. A users guide for the program and illustrative computations are presented.
