Abstract:
Laser engines of the plasma-forming fuel chamber type will probably become a reality in the near future. But the problems have not yet been solved of how to design suitable exhaust systems and mechanically suitable fuel chambers of workably small size. Nor has the question been answered as to what optimum natural energy sources can be used for space flight. Flights in space using laser rocket engines will be a great step toward the realization of mans dream about flying beyond the solar system. This dream will be realized after the creation of laser engines using light pressure as a motive force.
