Abstract:
The dynamic responses of plates and cylindrical shells to a moving mass are presented. The mass may move harmonically along andor perpendicularly to the plate or shell. Solutions are obtained by a finite integral transform on space followed by the application of a stable finite difference technique on time. It is shown that the accelerations centrifugal and Corolis induced by beam curvature may play an important role in the dynamic responses. Author
