Abstract:

In the treatment of burns, wounds which have not healed for a long time, and sores, exceptional caution is required of personnel of the surgical departments of clinics, for even the treatment of such injuries with tampons with medicinal preparations, as a rule, causes painful sensations. It is a different matter if the preparation is converted to an aerosol - a cloud of weightless particles only 5-20 microns in size which will settle softly on the open wound. It is for this purpose that the Central Scientific Research Laboratory of the Riga Medical Institute created an electroaerosol device of original design.
