Abstract:
The patent describes a turbo-cooling installation, primarily for air conditioning systems of aircraft, containing a compressor and turbine mounted on a single shaft and bearings with an intermediate air cooler having a heat exchange surface located beneath them. For the purpose of increasing economy, the cooler is made of the foam-bubling type and is included together with the ribbed bearing body in a common jacket which is fastened to the suction pipe of the compressor with the foam-forming air collector, which is installed beneath the heat exchange surface and is connected with the tank for heating fluid due to the effect of air flowing from the compressor intake.
