Abstract:

The evaluation was conducted to determine if the gasoline engine-driven diving air compressor is suitable for Navy use in scuba diving activities. The compressor performed excellently, but the engine as supplied was too light and was incapable of running the compressor for a reasonable length of time. A heavier approved engine has been substituted and although no testing has been accomplished with this unit, it appears that the deficiency has been eliminated. Modified author abstract
