Abstract:
The study is a pilot utilizing non-cognitive data sources in the prediction of individual suitability for service in the U.S. Navy. A methodology was developed which enables a logical selection of subsets of categorical predictors to optimize the prediction of suitability for service. The results support the contention that non-cognitive data sources are important and useful in prediction of success in the U.S. Navy.
