Abstract:

The report presents a variation of an earlier fields program. This variation is designed specifically for the purpose of calculating excitation factors of the earth-ionosphere wave guide by point dipoles at satellite heights. In particular, allowance is made for the following 1 provision for calculating excitation factors for all electric field components, E sub x, E sub y and E sub z 2 provision for calculating excitation by both electric and magnetic point dipoles 3 provision for calculating excitation by vertical, horizontal end on and horizontal broadside configurations.
