The problem of a two-frequency moving target indicators MTI system in a general case has been formulated. The author concludes that a the two-frequency MTI system sees an increased clutter-doppler variance as compared to that of a single-frequency system from sigma squared to sigma squared 1 r squared where r is the ratio of the carrier frequencies in the two frequency channels and b the mean clutter-doppler frequency, at the same time, is reduced accordingly from f sub 0 to f sub 0 1 - r.
