Abstract:
Work was done on developing a theory of high beam velocity operation of a vidicon camera tube. Silicon Schottky diode arrays having low barrier heights e.g. PdP-Si can be used in such tubes as infrared vidicon retinae. The uniformity of the resultant vidicon should be superior to that afforded by other approaches. A theoretical and experimental study of this uniformity was initiated.
