Abstract:
The Radiation Interaction Program RIP was developed and documented as part of the DNA-sponsored PREDIX Programs. RIP is a one-dimensional, slab geometry, material response code. This code is used to calculate the response of homogeneous materials exposed to x-ray radiation, electron beams, plate impact, or an arbitrary time-dependent pressure boundary condition. The report describes the organization and storage requirements of the RIP Code. In addition the definition and use of all blank and name common variables, a detailed description of each subroutine, each subroutines relation to other parts of the code, and flow charts are included.
