Times required to detect a simple display were measured following exposure to adapting flashes separated by varying intervals ranging from 2 to 90 seconds. The results indicate that for flash durations of 165 microseconds, the approximate exposure duration wherein protection equipment is used, there are no consistent variations in response times as a function of interflash interval.
