Abstract:
To date, the optimization of vibration isolation systems has been limited to models with one and two degrees of freedom. This study extends the techniques to the optimization of multidegree-of-freedom systems having translational and rotational modes. The purpose was attainment of a min-max point saddle point to enable the objective function of the system to be maximized with respect to a single state variable, the frequency, at the same time that it is minimized with respect to multicontrol variables, the damping constants.
