Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to examine the error correcting ability of error-correcting codes on real communication channels. Topics discussed include the following Bounded distance decoding interleaved codes error control coding based on majority-logic decoding Reed-Solomon codes and, diffuse threshold-decoded codes.
