Data gathered during the Air Force Weapons Laboratory standard skid-resistance test conducted at K. I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan, on 14 October 1972 are analyzed. The test results indicate the runway surface had good to fair skid-resistance properties, and no immediate corrective action was indicated at the time of the test. Because of low friction readings on the portland cement concrete portion of the runway, retesting after 1-12 to 2 years is recommended. Author
