The report describes the continued development of a holographic method for analyzing the fields near a transmitting array, which may be planar or conformal. The method is also useful for correcting radomes. The method is based on holography, but it differs in the collection and processing of data. The method involves two steps. In the first, phase and intensity are measured on a spherical probing surface. In the second, nearfield distributions are numerically reconstructed from the complex conjugate of the measured data. Numerical reconstruction eliminates scaling limitations that occur when reconstructions are made with visible light. Because reconstructions are computed, the method is flexible. It applies to wide classes of curved arrays because the reconstructed field can be calculated at arbitrary locations. Diverse polarizations can be treated by repeating measurements with two probe orientations.
