Abstract:

The paper discusses the crystal structure, electronic configuration and thermodynamics of HfPt3 and ZrPt3. On the basis of this research the authors conclude films of HfPt3 and ZrPt3 can be used as coatings for components subjected to high temperature oxidizing atmospheres.
