Abstract:

The study discusses zones of distribution of spider crabs off the Spanish Saharan Coast. They are found in bays and littoral zones around the peninsula of Rio de Oro. They are in great demand in national markets for they bring high prices. Also discussed are biological characteristics and taxonomy, and species captured especially during the months of December, January, and February.
