Abstract:
The authors have studied the peculiarities of austenite formation during the rapid heating of deformed steel KVK-42. Diagrams were made of the isothermic formation of austenite in steel KVK-42 taken at different initial states. It was shown that the most favorable steel for heat treatment with induction heating is steel first subjected to cold plastic deformation.
