The Night Observation Device, Medium Range NODMR ANTVS-4 Extended Range Objective Lens Test was conducted at Fort Hood, Texas, from 4 September to 4 October 1973. The test was conducted to determine the military potential and system applications of the ANTVS-4 when configured with the Extended Range Objective Lens EROL ANTVS-4 EROL. One ANTVS-4 EROL was provided for the test. It did not demonstrate an appreciable increase in capability in target detection when compared to the ANTVS-4 equipped with biocular viewer.
