Abstract:

The report discusses localizing paramagnetic probes spin labels within the lipid regions of cell membranes and looking for changes in motion of these membrane regions as a function of increasing pressure and decreasing temperature, information basic to establishing changes in water structure within ocean depths might be obtained. The last years research effort on this program has been concentrated on this approach.
