Considerable data were acquired from testing the most feasible means for mounting the air conditioner units and the most effective ducting envelope within the space limitations of the shelter. After evaluating a number of duct configurations using various types of noise attenuation materials, the ultimate design and composition concept was determined and tested. Noise levels within the shelter with all noise and vibration control treatment installed meets the original design objective NC-55 in all but the 125 Hz and the 250 Hz octave bands. Author
