Morphological Differences in Teeth of Caries Susceptible and Caries Immune Males,
NAVAL DENTAL RESEARCH INST GREAT LAKES ILL
Pagination or Media Count:
General differences were found in the morphological features between a group of caries immune and a group of caries susceptible Naval recruits. As a group, the teeth of caries immune subjects had less tendency to a reduction in the number of cusps, they had decreased cusp heights and they had less convex facial surfaces that the teeth of caries susceptible subjects. The possibility that these features are influenced by genetics and by environmental factors is discussed. The differences found agree with work previously reported.
