Abstract:

The paper introduces a technique for the indirect measurement of an operational fluid bulk modulus for systems similar in operation to pulsating flow hydraulic control systems. The technique assumes a mathematical model of a hydraulic transmission line from which an analog computer simulation is constructed. Error plots are made as a function of the system parameters by comparing the real system response with the simulated system response. The values of the optimized simulation parameters then yield the values of their physical counterparts in the real system. Modified author abstract
