Pagination or Media Count:
An application of Bayesian judgmental methods to the development of an informational scoring procedure for ASW antisubmarine warfare exercises is presented. The ASW exercise is conceptualized an informational game, both sides wanting to acquire as much information as possible about the opponent while denying the opponent any useful information. Techniques for measuring, cumulating, and scoring the informational consequences of decisions made by each side in the course of an ASW exercise are discussed. Several obstacles remain between the present formulation and its application. Key problems are sketched and avenues for overcoming them are discussed.
