The melt-vapor equilibrium in the system ZnCl2-NH3 was studied at 350-500C. Two stages were established in the process of complex formation in the liquid phase. The values of instability contents of the complexes ZnCl21.5NH3 and ZnCl2NH3 were calculated as functions of temperature. The state of equilibrium in the ZnCl2-NH3 system was analyzed as a function of composition in temperature. It was also established that the complex ZnCl2NH3 begins to dissociate at 319.5C. The complex ZnCl21.5NH3 is fully decomposed at 477.4C.
