Abstract:
The cluster fly often becomes a pest in the autumn when large numbers of them enter homes and other buildings to overwinter. Adults do not bite and there is no evidence that they are involved in the transmission of disease. The larvae will parasitise certain species of earthworm. Three or more Canadian laboratories have been studying different aspects of this pest for the past three years, and the authors believe that a bibliography of this insect would be of value to many workers at this time. To that end is offered the attached list of over 120 references preceded by some very brief notes on the contents of key papers.
