Abstract:
A mathematical model is derived by dimensional analysis for the penetration of 20 gelatin gel by spheres. The model, which accounts for inertia and viscosity of the gel, is a generalized form of Resals Law. The fitted results are found to agree with data on actual gel penetration by spheres.
