Abstract:
Experimental data are analyzed to identify the parameters of a discrete linear model for a man tracking a third order plant subject to a randomly appearing forcing function. In addition, the effects of hypoxia on the tracking model are investigated. Two identification schemes are examined. The first of these is a sequential estimator and the second is an output error method. Both techniques are based on least squares analysis. There is evidence to support the conclusion that a 22,000 feet the effects of hypoxia are modeled through a time delay. Modified author abstract
