Abstract:
An experimental study is described of the spillover characteristics of a fluid amplifier receiver. The spillover flow occurs in the form of secondary jet flows which can be either separated or attached to the outside wall of the receiver depending generally on receiver loading, width and power jet offset. In the case of a separated secondary jet condition, rebound angles are measured for various receiver widths and power jet offsets. Spillover flowrates are given for various receiver flows and power jet offset. Author
