Abstract:
A recoil proton telescope has been designed, built, and tested at the Radiation Laboratory, BRL. This device is capable of absolute fast-neutron flux measurement in the energy range 2-20 MeV to an accuracy of better than 3. Measurements of the telescope efficiencies at 2.60 and 14.30 MeV agree with several calculations to well within the estimated uncertainties. Thus, absolute flux measurements can be provided for the monitoring of irradiations and cross-section measurements. Author
